5 pages in length. The technological revolution has significantly impacted every aspect of commerce, inasmuch as business is routinely transacted upon the Internet. In order to accommodate the vast changes and difficulties associated with online commerce, certain issues have had to be addressed; resolving these issues has been instrumental in a smooth transition from brick-and-mortar operations to those who have taken up residence upon the World Wide Web. The travel industry is a prime example of how certain issues had to be addressed before the Internet was going to become a profitable venture. Enter the global distribution system (GDS), a method of operation that provides online distribution, marketing and sales tools to travel professionals throughout the world. One can readily surmise that without the implementation of global distribution systems, every factor of travel – hotels, car rentals, etc. – would not be nearly as accessible as they are today. Globalization has Created Two Worlds, Not One

This 7 page report discusses the idea that globalization at the start of the 21st century has proven itself to actually have created two worlds rather than one. What has also shown itself as commonplace is the fact that the “haves” have significantly more than the “have nots” and the gap that has always existed between the two has widened into a nearly impassable canyon. While economic globalization has had an impact on people around the world so has the globalization of new ways of thinking, producing, and traveling. The end results have not always been positive. The three subjects addressed herein are technology, medicine, and international relations. Each of these three areas of concern are of great importance and while there are many other areas that will also change and readjust to a new era, these areas of concern are perhaps the most obvious and most influential to all people concerned. The 21st century is hinting at being a time of great changes and occurrences. Times have changed drastically in only a few decades, and there is little doubt that changes and advancements have been occurring far faster this past century than perhaps, in any other century known to mankind.
